About Reid Smith Architects

Reid Smith Architects has been focused on creating a sense of space through original and unique design in the Mountain West. We emphasize a collaborative process between client, architect, contractor and consultants in order to ensure that inspired, forward thinking ideas are balanced with the appropriate budget and function. We combine the uses of local and natural materials to create architecture that complements and respects the site while celebrating the built environment and innovation.

Jackson Trout

Jackson grew up in Aurora, Colorado. He graduated from Montana State University with his Master of Architecture in 2011. He joined Reid Smith Architects in May of 2011. He plays a large part in project presentation and detailing.

Bob Brooks

Bob joined Reid Smith Architects in March of 2010. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2006 with a Bachelor of Architecture. Bob not only helps with project design and coordination but also has a talent for sketches and watercolors.

Ashley Peressini

Ashley came to Bozeman from Great Falls, MT in 2006 where she proceeded to earn her Interior Design degree at Montana State University. She joined Reid Smith Architects in the fall of 2012. Ashley manages the office and helps with the interior design coordination.

Daryl Nourse

Daryl is originally from the Lake Tahoe area and moved to Montana in 2001 to go to Montana State University. He graduated with his Master of Architecture degree in 2006. He joined Reid Smith Architects while still in school in 2004 and has since become a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, earned his accreditation as a LEED AP, and served on the Mayor’s Community Climate Task Force. Daryl works in all phases of each project's design, coordination/detailing, and construction.

Reid Smith

Since founding the firm in 2003, Reid has been focused on creating responsive designs that are influenced heavily by the building site and client's desires. Reid's primary role is leading the project through the design and detailing of each project. Reid received a Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
